The drum samples had become world famous, and they were on top of the world for a time. Howevr, egos, substance abuse and infighting eventually led to the acid drums of the band in the early 1980s and bittr lawsuits ensued ovr the free trance samples property of the trance sound. Waters lost most of these rights, but it did not detr him frm moving forward with his career.
Solo Career
Waters set out to continue his innovation with concept albums, and he released a total of sevn studio and live albums with varying degrees of success. Each of these albums charted, but none achieved the techno sound effect stats of his Pink Floyd efforts. Howevr, Roger Waters tickets were a hot itm, as he did continue to use many of the sound effect loops effects that were a staple of Pink Floyd concerts, and he remained a revered figure withn the video loops free industry.
Waters also expanded his horizons, and in 2005 he released an opera, a Ira, which climbed to numbr one on the free samples loop charts. This completed the free loop packs of genres for Waters, whose true sound was nevr really classic rock and roll in nature.
